NewPipe is a free lightweight YouTube client. NewPipe can run on devices without Google Services installed and does not require a YouTube account, it is free software. In addition, NewPipe allows you to watch YouTube videos without ads and in the background. It is also possible to download video and audio and support other services (SoundCloud, media.ccc.de, PeerTube instances, Bandcamp). NewPipe is a fast application, it consumes less traffic than the official YouTube client and uses less device resources, which has a positive effect on battery life.
