Ever since Gameloft started making mobile games they've been copying every infamous console title on mobile and handheld Android and Java, From Gangstar to N.O.V.A. to many more fun titles this comes in hand pretty different however, as a lot probably know and noticed it's supposed to be a Max Payne copycat but when you play it it will feel more than that.
First off you play as a Cop (Detective) Named Kanon, a guy with pretty short temper but not crazy, knows when to make a good move and always thinks before taking action, not the type of who shoots first but ask questions last but when he get involved with local drug trading gangs he sure does not ask any questions at all. I'm not gonna spoil the story for you but it's more of one of those bad guys are making mess we clean up after them then we wipe them off the face of earth type-plot so I'm gonna leave that up to you to experience because as simple as it sounds it actually has fun events and dialogue and pretty good voice acting and characters, there is humor, there is betrayal, there is drama and there is revenge, ALL WHAT YOU NEED FROM A SHORT STORY
The guns in this game may not be the greatest but they are very satisfying for their purpose, you got golden desert eagles, a lot of sub machine guns and machine pistols, shotguns which the best choice when it comes to heavy interior shootings and assault rifle and at some point late in the game you will be able to use a sniper rifle and it's very fun if you ask me but IMA leave that to you to decide, with the mix of music and guns and flock of enemies keep on coming makes the shooting in this game the best to ever have on mobile, it's indeed a non-stop massacre
The game has several environments and it seems that the developers truly knew how to capture the feeling of Los Angeles and implement it in their game, a lot of beautiful interiors, exteriors and open ground places to look around and appreciate their prettiness on your small screen, I'm not talking about graphics or shadows here I'm talking about TRUE ARTSTYLE the art of using colors and texturing, this game's visuals indeed shows that a mobile game doesn't need high graphics, shadows and extreme shaders and lightning to look good, props to the map designers and texturing artists they did awesome job here, the night levels look majestic, the daytime levels look impeccable almost feels like you are looking at a movie screen and wait until you reach the factory level to see how of a great work they did from inside the place and only then you will know what I'm talking about
The audio in this game may not be the greatest but it's as okay as other titles you probably have tried from Gameloft, Gun effects satisfies its owner and make them feel like they really are doing the most damage to whoever they are shooting at and only the best when it comes to the music playing in the background which helps the player get into action and feels immersed and boosted, Awesome soundtrack.
I can't say anything about the multiplayer cuz I haven't tried it really since I got nobody to play with and also there is no bots in this game which makes it sad but I found that you dont need a Gameloft live account to play LAN which is very good move by the developers to keep the game a little bit alive after it's game service discontinuation, same weapons and few maps and two gamemodes (DM and TDM) are available and you can buy skills and guns with the in-game currency you gain from beating storyline levels
Speaking of storyline levels, the game has 12 levels all look differently from each other with their own place the action takes place in, from the neighborhoods to the backlot and warehouse to the nightclub and restaurant, a lot of different environments meets the eye which makes the game exciting and more varied
This game is total badass and I highly recommend it to anybody who enjoys or looking for a good thirdperson shooter on their phone cuz this is a masterpiece right here, I'm talking about fun, no IAP or pay to win, just straight up fun and get to the point, one of the greatest Gameloft mobile titles right here I give it 9/10, awesome but not perfect
This game is so cool, the events the guns the characters the music EVERYTHING about is innovative and fun, I wish there was more but sadly they don't make games like this anymore, I definitely recommend this game to any third person shooter fans
(This game makes Max Payne Mobile feels boring so play it at your risk)
