Black Souls I is a dark fantasy souls-like RPG created by developer Sushi Yuusha Toro. The project draws inspiration from the works of great European children's authors—Charles Perrault, the Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Andersen, Lewis Carroll, and others—as well as themes from Lovecraftian mythology. The game heavily relies on the atmosphere and mechanics of Dark Souls, which is reflected in its very title. An expansion called The Black Goat of the Woods a Thousand Young has also been released for the game, featuring the Black Trial, a new quest, and an additional ending.
