  3. How to free up 4 GB on your PC. If you use Chrome, check this out

Recently, Chrome started downloading Gemini Nano to users’ devices for local use. This is useful if you actually use Google’s AI assistant and want to keep its full functionality, but completely pointless for everyone else. The good news: all downloaded files can be safely removed if you don’t need them. Here are two ways to free up space.

Way 1. Disable AI features

In Chrome, go to Settings System AI on device. Once you turn it off, all related files will be deleted.

Way 2. Remove files manually

Go to chrome://flags and find the following flags

optimization-guide-on-device-model
prompt-api-for-gemini-nano

Set both to “Disabled”. Restart the browser to apply changes.

Then open the Run dialog (Win + R) and go to:

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data

Find and delete the folder OptGuideOnDeviceModel — it’s the one taking up 4 GB.
